"Claus Larsen" (if he exists, of course) has just had an interesting letter published in the Lost and Found section of the current Classic & Sportscar magazine. In it, he claims he found #248 in a garage near Copenhagen, Denmark, where it had lain for 30 years. Now, I personally know that this car was owned by Jan Lillieskold of Trosa, Sweden since 1977 until recently, when Nik Hannah bought it. He sent me pictures just after he had acquired the car. If you look at the first posting which started this particular thread, you will see that "Larsen" told us all how he had found this barn-find Bizzarrini in Sweden! This guy can't even agree with himself!! Draw your own conclusions. Image Unavailable, Please Login
And if the journalist make a mistake ? Why jalousy ? Why attack Claus ? Me, I m happy to have seen this discovery ! Claus, if you read this, don t be upset by the jalous people who will never own a Bizzarrini. Congratulations !
Mr. Olczyk. Have you been in contact with Claus? Do you perhaps have contact information for him? I'm sure there are several people on here who would be interested in when his car will enter the market. Please encourage your friend Claus to contact me by email, since he is banned here, and I will happily post all of his contact information and his asking price for this find. my email is fchat.dave @ gmail.com (remove the spaces) I would also happily contact you privately with my personal information to forward to him if he feels more comfortable talking in person, as opposed to using emails. Everybody have draw his own conclusions, a fews weeks ago, you told us that we can trust Eckstein ! We found out that Eckstein have change the identity of the LM CAN AM CORSA to make it look like a p538 with a false chassis number p578-006. All the varedo group (include yourself) have cover this mascarade. Why did you cover Eckstein ? Draw your own conclusions,
Let s go back to the principal subject...Real Bizzarrini and how many want to come to the next birthday of Giotto. I have already 10 people who have contact me. I hope that we can stop the little disputes and that everybody will show honest behaviour Photo = BA4 102 during restoration. We should also point the honesty of RM auctions concerning the Bizzarrinis sold ! Image Unavailable, Please Login
First time ever, I got so much information about Bizzarrinis. I fall in love with this cars, when I was a little boy. Later I had the chance to drive one, but it didn't impress me very much. It was not a 'daily drivers' sportscar, for a young man, lots of power and lots of problems, apart, I don't like american V8 Engines (drive them daily now). Many years ago Egon Welling, ex Auto Becker Chief Mechanic, talked a bit of these 'hairy Monsters'. All Isos and Bizzarrinis has lots of trouble wirh these Engines. The cars looked beautiful, like the Miura, but you couldn't use them like sportscars, cause engine heating problems. In one, of the Motor Classic Magazins, I saw an article about Mr. Ecksteins Grifo 7-litri. What a beautiful car, I startet looking for one and found two, but I never saw so rusty cars in my life, not even an Alfa Sud. I looked at some more cars, but they where nearly equal. But still today I think, these are great cars and I really admire Owners, who still keep them alive. Thinking of Mr. Bizzarrini, what a great old engineer, maybe one of the last still alive. I hope he will do more of his old new cars, cause he was and is the Soul of this cars. Call them like you want. Looking forward, for more interesting stuff, like in this thread, but hopefully in a more civilized way. Hopefully Mr. Olcyck will calm down and remember, that we try to enjoy our cars, with their and our faults. Nobody is perfect, but most are here, to share information and to learn more, not to do business. Thank you specially, for the chassis number information and some very good pics, but I really have to say this, you are the most agressive person in every Forum and the worst thing is, it doesn't matter to you. It seems, that you are more interested in money, than in old cars. Jörg
The pictures of 0248 at the cognac rally were taken 1976 when the french Bugatti and Ferrari club held a classis car rally in France. Car was driven by then owner Jan Svanbäck. He loved racing so much he almost forgot it was a classic car rally and held full throttle over the finishing strait nearly hittng the flag man...
