Regretfully, we will have to cancel the Barolo brunch this weekend :(

The owner of Barolo restaurant just called me, because he was just informed that due to Mother's Day, he will not be able to save and guarantee at least 12 parking spaces in front of Barolo as he did last time. This decision was out of his hands, and came directly from the local precinct.

Other than this weekend, the owner said that we can pick any other weekend, including Memorial Day weekend, for future get-togethers and he will be able to coordinate parking in front of the restaurant with streetside seating.

We had a wonderful time the last brunch and I am looking forward to doing it again so let me know WHICH FUTURE WEEKENDS WILL WORK FOR YOU?

    Sorry about the cancellation,
    David

P.S. I am very bummed about this, but it is out of my hands.

    d'oh!

Thanks for keeping these events going, though, David. I missed the last one, but I read on the Internet about how much fun it was.

As for me, I'll be at The Glen on Memorial Day Weekend, so how about:

    May 23rd?

We can have brunch, go for a drive and still be home to watch 52 Favorite Cars on Spike TV at 10:00pm...

    God, I hope so...

On the plus side, they are so happy with how 52 Favorites looks, I just scored a few more $$ for the real show in January... more on that SOON!

Damn - I was looking forward to that!

But there is a consolation prize - I can watch the Formula One Grand Prix from Barcelona! :D Could any of you advise me of a Sports Cafe in Manhattan where I can watch the race?? I don't think the Sheraton will have "Speed TV" - I assume that's who will broadcast it at 09h00 EST (14h00 CET).

    Thanks, MARK

Not sure. Any date should be fine pretty much except the next few weeks.

I'll let David respond definitively, but in conversations with him, I think he indicated he wasn't going to be around during the weekends from now until June. :(

    David?
