Hemi cuda goes for .............670K. Several cars near 500k. I'm soooo impressed with these prices. I would of never guessed. Each year they just get higher and higher. I keep thinking the guys bidding are crazy. All the hype and TV coverage drives up the prices. I know this has been discussed a few times before but how can this trend continue.

You need to purchase Keith Martins Sports Car Market Guide. There is a fantastic article written about this subject by Michael Sheehan in the January Issue. Titles The madness Of Crouds..

The article states that this is going to be a nasty market Correction.. JJ

That Hemi sold for 4700 when new. I do think the crowd does get it going. The auctioneer goes up 25k a pop. Nobody slows down.

You're right. I thought it was the 2007 show. It has been on all day.

first off. the coverage sucks. i have never seen so many commercials. the remainder of the airtime is filler BS.

    i hope 2007 is better.

i love craig jackson's "you are all suckers" expression when they catch him on camera.

I didn't see anyone holding a Gloc to anyones' head forcing them to bid, so, anything's price is whatever anyone is willing to pay for it.

If I was a multi-multi-millionaire, I'd buy something silly as well.

I don't see the market being as strong as last year when the auction starts in 2 weeks, but Craig is good at hyping the event and creating a buzz at the event. Since there are only 14 hemi 'cuda convertibles and the one last year did $2,000,000. if you really have to have it then your going to have to pay what it takes to get it home. There are plenty of people who can afford to pay for the really rare quality items and they will set the market price. But the cloned hemi's and big-block cars doing over $100k just doesn't make sense to me. He will undoubtably have some super rare pieces this year. I know he is auctioning a '70 hemi cuda with 74 miles and a '53 vette with under 300 miles. These will bring big money but I don't see the more mundane stuff bringing as much this year. I think the atmosphere of the event itself, the nice weather in Arizona and the TV coverage can make a buyer pay far more than he would ever consider if he was in a classic car showroom.

Someone keep an eye on AJ Foyt's 512BBi, silver with boxer trim, red interior. I no longer have speed channel so I'd like to know what it sells for.

In the meantime I'll try to dig up some old photos I have of this Ferrari when it was in storage.

300 miles? 5.6 miles a year. Wow, the proverbial little ole lady from Pasadena?
