Looks like the Barret Jackson/Hemi Cuda issue is now closed just in time for their 2008 auction. Judge Clabuesch (the Cuda owner) had filed 5 counterclaims against BJ's initial defamation suite..........looks like that this is all over and done with.....just in time for their 2008 auction.

    Unusual timing.....no ?

It is solely my personal opinion, and this does not reflect upon nor accrue any liability to Ferrari Chat in any way shape or form......that BJ probably paid Judge Clabuesch to settle now, shut up, and sign a statement. Notice that they do not make any mention of the 5 counter claims he filed against them in their press release ? Interesting........wonder how much they paid him to sign and drop said claims ?

You may also remember that a PR rep for BJ came here and initially posted on F-chat that there was no disgruntled judge and that this incident never happened.

    Link deleted....same as previous poster.

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. - January 9, 2008 - Officials with the Barrett-Jackson Auction Co. LLC, today announced that a settlement was reached on Jan. 7, 2008, in a suit filed against David L. Clabuesch in U.S. District Court in Arizona. In the settlement, Clabuesch exonerated the Barrett-Jackson Auction Company of all allegations of wrongdoing in relation to a situation that occurred at the company's Scottsdale event in January 2007. Details of the financial terms of the settlement were not disclosed.

So, would average prices be expected to decline if shill bidding was eliminated?

Keith Martin has never criticized Craig Jackson for the Fiasco that ended up with his having to buy that Veyron after the high bidder couldn't pay ( the next 2 or 3 bidders wouldn't take the Veyron either, maybe their B-J paychecks couldn't cover the payments.....)

Why would they they stole that Veyron, at 700 - 10% they're in that car 630 which is a steal for a Veyron. They aren't dummies...

Didn't this car also have serious transmission issues, and therefore was part of the reason they got it so cheap ?
