I didn't see a thread dedicated to the auction, so I figured I'd start one.

I have only just turned it on, but a Jaguar XJ220 went for $137k! WOW! I thought market was closer to the high side of $200k! no?

There is a red S7 on there now that they are pushing hard to get it to move up from $190k... it's at $230k now

....and cars at Barrett usually go in my experience for a good amount *above* market value.

I am not very knowledgeable about the collector/exotic car market, but do prices seem severely depressed at this auction? It seems like that may be the case

That hennesey viper sold cheap considering sticker was 175k. Also saleen and XJ seemed cheap as did the President's tour bus. The JFK lincoln sold cheap compared to what items sold for 10+ years ago at the Jackie O/JFK auction. I think this marks the end of the bubble. A hemi cuda coupe in purple sold cheap less than 300k. All Craig kept saying was invest your money here not in the stock market, or these cars are selling for too cheap...I thought that 1918 le bistonie(sp) went cheaply as well for what the car is.

I heard that too, classic! The crowd seems embarrassingly small for "Prime Time", and values are very low...maybe 50-75% of BJ Scottsdale last year (2007). Market for muscle cars started to soften at this year's Scottsdale auction and appear to be in all-out correction mode now. Roy Cats is a smart man to be buying now...let's just hope his liver makes it...:)

I thought it was the last car, but on the block is the Barrett Jackson Ford Shelby GT for charity. I cannot wait to go to the one in Scottsdale.

Oh man, this is just bad. Singing Happy Birthday, they are stalling bad.

Amy lost her voice. :D :D
