Barrett Jackson

I'm thinking of going again this year to Barrett Jackson in AZ. Anyone else from the area planning on going?

Would love to go out and attend one year---I think it would a great place to see some kick a$$ cars!!!

 

See the hilarity first hand as some guy with way more money than sense bids $300K for a '76 Monza.

 

I went a few years ago and had a great time. Good time of year to be in AZ(not be here). Lot's of other car stuff going on in the area that week. Swap meets plus RM and Russo and Steel auctions. There is a shopping mall that has one of the best car shows I've seen and most of the cars are for sale and there were acually some good deals. Friend of mine bought a nice Mach 1 at the shopping center. Probably wouldn't suggest buying a car at B.J. unless you want to pay too much but only prime time is televised on Speed and the stuff auctioned at other times can be a bit more reasonable. Where else should I go in late Jan to get my car fix? Thought about renting a ride at Sebring?

 

It's even better in person when you can here what the girl in the blue Jacket is saying to him to get him to bid higher!

yes she is---this year they are auctioning alot of the Monster Garage cars from the Discovery show..

 

I call dibs on the 308 Pasta maker!

 

I think that's the point.... Hard to say no to a hot girl.

Sounds like fun...But, I wouldn't buy anything. My father in law wants to go sometime.

I guess I am still in the Barrett Jackson dis-belief camp after all their games.

I need to go to Monterey one year (when my daughter is a bit older) and then Cavallino. See some real cars that I can't afford vs the "rare" 68 'stang because its lime green and a/c delete that I can't afford.

Hotel/air/rental car, got everything booked. I always liked the cop car that made doughnuts on Monster Garage.

They also have a BJ in Miami every year--usually a few months after the Arizona event..
