A 1999 F355 Spider with F1 trans, 14,000 miles, sold at Barrett Jackson last night for $82,500 plus commission. It was a nice looking car up close. Thought this was a nice price at a Ferrari unfriendly auction

Was there. Car went for $75k at the hammer. Pretty clean but no records and was F1.

That sounds right because then it would work out to draab29s # of 82,500 if there was a 10% commission.

"Keep those cards and letters coming". I've been recording and 'watching', actually fast forwarding the whole show. I saw two 360s, but not the 355. I've seen enough Chevys to last two lifetimes.

The "75K/82.5" sounds OK, but don't forget the net to the seller is probably in the 67.5K range. Does anyone know the actual BJ commission schedule for this price range? And don't forget the cost of getting a good sell time, and don't forget that regular customers probably get a bit more time "under the lights".

Although I didn't see it go across the block, I did think it had been a well maintained car based solely on a close-up inspection. Can't believe that someone who would take care of something that well wouldn't maintain records.

    What does that mean?

These are all f355s and the title of this section is 348/355 with no specificity regarding body style.

There was a spider that just sold at Gooding for 129k.

I looked this car over for a few minutes and it wasn't too bad but not a great car. Some of the sticky stuff had been done and the rest of it should go to Sticky RX to get done right. The car did go for 75 plus the 10% commission. There was a 92 512 TR that went for $357gs.....wow now there is a big jump. It would be very interesting to see a 355B in that auction. I bet it would go for some good bucks....unfortunately it is very very hard to find a good B as nobody wants to sell their baby. Too much fun to drive.

I guess you could say that for any of these big number sales Vince. Regardless it is a data point.

Sticky RX is a good friend of yours. I thought you knew about this company. If you don't you can check it out at Sticky RX Refinishing Solutions ? Refinishing Services for Exotic Car Interiors. The work is simply stupendous. I like the work sticknomore does but this is in another league. Im not joking. Just compare the pics on each site. I love perfection. I don't know what he does that is different, but not even I can do work that good and I'm anal about this kind of detail. The vents on the black 355 spider at the Barrett Jackson were just ugly.
