Not really. Although the actors were wearing funny costumes and were restraint most of the time and some of them got whipped around ...by G forces. Come to think of it: Even some commands were barked in German. Image Unavailable, Please Login
That's an old Soyuz capsule (you can tell it is old by the lack of flat panel monitors as they have today) in the Cosmosphere museum in Kansas. A little known museum, which IMHO has the world's best collection of manned spacecrafts from the US AND Russia. We shot some scenes of my sci-fimentary there.
Andreas is a bit modest, but you may remember him as Hugo Drax in Moonraker. He starred alongside my former future ex-wife Lois Chiles. The pic he posted is during the filming of the movie, right before he introduced me to Lois. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
LOL The guy in the light blue suit next to me in the Soyuz (Commander Brock) actually came up with that comparison and told everybody I was Drax in Moonraker. I'd be so flattered. But he probably said that just to swoosh me out the air lock... PS: So you and Jean Todt have something in common: The joys of a Bond girl. Oh, time for reentry.
i got mondo excited for a second there..thinking you were a former Cosmonaut!! then the 'duh' thing hit me...how i feel so let down Andreas
Did you stay at a Holiday Inn or Holiday Inn Express? (just kidding of course, great photo and your other photos from there!) Carol
This was several years ago when the hotels in Moscow weren't as top as they are today, so we picked the best at the time. So no, no Holiday Inn. Was funny, one morning at breakfast we bumped into Lance Bass who also went to Star City for his medical tests to fly to the ISS. Or so he thought, before the whole deal collapsed.
Yeah, yeah. Gloat if you must, but at least I stepped up which is more than some of you guys did! I think he wants Stella, so Stella it shall be!!! Go Rubens!!!
Andreas has slowed down a bit in recent years. Here he is interviewing his favorite F1 expert: Image Unavailable, Please Login
