Two new BaT Auctions queued up and getting ready to roll out.... Both amazing Dino’s Early E Series Chairs/Flares GTS
If that verde pino C&F is the one I think it is, then it was the first dino I ever sat in - wanted to see if I'd fit, before embarking on the search that ended up with 06236.
The green Dino 206 is the car to own. The provenance, the shorter wheel base and all aluminium body, the original color and documentation...not that I could afford it, but to my senses, this is a million dollar car...I find it that special.

It was designed by Pininfarina and built by Scaglietti with power coming from a transverse-mounted V6 Dino engine. The more powerful and refined Dino 246 GT model was introduced in 1969 featuring a larger engine and a longer wheelbase. This 1971 example was purchased from DPM Classics in Monaco and was subsequently delivered to the world-renowned Toni Auto of Maranello for a full bare metal restoration at a cost of over €200k. The car was airfreighted to Los Angeles in 2023 where it was transported by an enclosed trailer to Dino expert Juan Villarreal at Grand Prix Motors for fine-tuning and comprehensive inspection. Supported by restoration documents and a letter of authenticity from Ferrari dealer Scuderia Monte-Carlo, this Dino 246 GT is now being offered for auction by its seller out of California.

As we all can see, there are several cool things and not things we would leave untouched. Bashing the wrong things hurts the Dino world, adding insight for details is also awesome. BUT LIKE ALL THINGS ON BAT, I always HOPE new people join our community. How can we ALL ENCOURAGE the NEW group and remain true to the Dino comments that are needed and required?
