Well you know, there's luck involved, but you make your own luck. Mr Lago didn't get lucky...maybe Mr Hughes could have been luckier to make up for some issues, but the better prepared team did a better job...I don't think it's any accident. 12 hours ffs....I'm still in awe actually....I can't concentrate for 10 seconds, never mind double stints around BATHURST of all places. This even tops last year's effort IMO.
Well done to Scud. You guys did a great job. Dave certainly drives hard, doesn't he? The Lambo LP560 was allowed to run but was penalised with more than twice the Audi's parity including 53mm restrictor. I guess someone didn't want to upset the fairy tale........ The older L140 models would have done well, especially with the wet spot in the middle of the morning. Pity about the Mosler too. It's not everyday the safety car stays out so they can retrieve a windscreen from the power lines!!!!
Thank you EfiOz for clarifying the issues with the Lambo's not competing. Sounds like politics. Didn't think that happened in motorsport.
