Gents, has anyone had any issues with the battery in their alarm system. My alarm has become erratic and go's off for no reason. Last time it happened I started the car, disconnected the battery with the battery isolator, closed and opened all doors boot and bonnet eventually the alarm stopped. I has happened it least 5 times now, it happens mostly after a drive and the car is in the garage locked. It also activate my NAVTRACK system, the Navtrack company is very good in contacting me with the news my car alarm has been activated.

    Regards, Bernard

Bernard- Sure sounds like a panel closing sensor or microswitch that is failing or misaligned.

When I set the alarm, it goes off in about 15-20 mins. So now before I set the alarm I turn off the motion sensor & the "lift" sensor. (switches on ceiling) & it seems to work fine. I wish the system was correct & I didn't have to do that.

I had this problem on my California ... turning off the motion sensor was the only way to use the alarm. A new battery seems to have fixed the issue.

Cheers guys for the reply's, something new has popped up with my alarm, while driving the car the alarm sounds but no flashing lights. It does make for an interesting drive as it was in Italy on a busy highway.
I stop the car and lock the car and open it again the alarm keeps sounding with no lights flashing. I open and close all doors, boot and bonnet but it keeps going. It last for about 10 min and it silence it self!!! Happened twice now. any one has had that?

    Cheers, Bernard
