Google CTEK. They're the best. You can search for them here also and see what those in the know are saying about them. Several interesting posts have appeared here over the years about this new technology for not just charging but regenerating batteries.

I have used Deltran Battery Tenders for ages. They are the best.

You do not need a 'battery charger" but a "battery tender".

CTEK if you have an ODYSSEY battery.

I have also used the Deltran "Super Smart Battery Tender" for almost 2 decades. Still have one & use it on occasion. Until maybe 7 years ago, I would have universally recommended the Deltran - but I had one (that had been connected to a car for over 3 weeks) decide to go up in smoke & flames just out of the blue. Luckily, it was sitting well outside the car on a non-flammable table.

Currently, I mostly use a CTEK "Multi US 25000." It is quite a bit more advanced than the Deltran, but also costs a bit more.

I think both are excellent products and the CTEK can do everything the Deltran does, but the Deltran can't come close to doing all the things the CTEK can do.

Could the Deltran have been full of dust and spiderwebs or similar?
The fuses should have triggered if the maintainer was faulty.

For this reason I only use maintainers that are outside the car.

I have the Ferrari tender (which is likely the CTEK with the Ferrari wrap :D)

I assume the battery in the cars are AGM. Make sure your tender is capable of charging AGM, and if it is adjustable make sure you set it to AGM.

CTEK is a quality brand and is owned by the same parent corp that owns the company I work for, and we cooperate on a few projects. With that said, there are several name brands of chargers and IMO none of the top brands are junk. So if you find one locally and get a warm & fuzzy from the salesman, you are probably fine. Assume about $100 each.

The only fuse in the Deltran is the one on the leads that attach to the battery - no internal fuse, so if something in the box goes "wonky," it will be all smoke & flames unless a house breaker happens to trip.

Cracked open one of my other units used in the same environment & sure don't see any dust or spiderwebs...

    Looks spotless!
I have a fuse in all the wall plug, plus the big fuse in the fuse box.
Not sure if that is a standard with a fused wall plug in your countries.
I had to select those specifically I built the property.

It is scary we pay around 100 bucks for that. Value what, 50 cents in parts?

As others have stated, Deltran Battery Tender. Just get a four bank and be done with it. Should be ~150, and a few 25' extensions if you should need those too. It gives you a way to look in one spot, instead of hunting for each tender. I have many of these and they work great!

The chargers that come with Ferraris are CTEK. The replacement chargers that Ferrari sells are also CTEK. Porsche chargers are also CTEK. l don't have a Lamborghini but understand their chargers are CTEK as well.

After reading the thread about the charger/mainteners going up in flames, this is the reason why I shut off the battery when I leave the car stored.I wouldn't trust anything electrical attached to my car at any time.Good luck to all you guys that trust the little black boxes.

I do not trusty those Made in China things too, hence the fused wall plugs. You can choose a weak fuse, just enough for the gadget not to trip it. In addition to that I would never mount one of those in-car models, the ones that are permanently attached.

And I place it on a brick in case something should happen, so the painted floor will not get damaged.
I know, "belt and suspender" approach, but it works!

To shut off the battery means the computers have to reboot each time? Is that good?
