It's ok to insert into the cigarette bulb ? CTEK charger when leaving a car for several weeks . Car is 512 TR '94 Thanks
On mine, I always use the CTEK M6 eyelets that are permanently attached to the battery terminals, together with a 56-304 extension lead to save opening the hood every time. Not keen to put a load through the cigarette lighter and run the risk of shorts etc - mine had a short in the lighter socket after a few uses. It is fine to leave for a few months.
the Ferraris don't work with the cig lighter. on my 94 512tr I attached the battery tender dongle on the passenger side in the front trunk
are you sure the cig lighter works on the 355? it doesn't work on mine. I don't have the 512tr here but if u remove the cover on passenger side of the trunk you can see where u access the battery.
Just run the extension cable to the top of the the hood and tape/cable tie it - there is space between the hood and the base of the wind shield.
To get access to battery I need to take off upper panel in the hood ? Cause I can t find the Battery ??? I think I am stupid lol , in the owner manual drawings are really not understandble .
It is on the right hand side of the car, in the bonnet under the carpet held down by velcro. There is a panel with two quarter-turn screws under which you will find the battery.
Right side from inside or outside ? lol )))) Btw was this CD changer OEM options or not should I leave it or put off? Cause I bought this car a week ago. Really don't like the look or this CD I think it was installed later.
sadly us British didn't have the courage like Sweden to have "Dagen H" and allow us to enjoy the cheaper LHD F-cars from the continent!
Yes - under the CD changer. However, that is an odd place to install it unless it comes apart easily to allow access to the battery! I have a Pioneer CD player on mine - I believe it was dealer rather than factory option. Don't know for sure.
I will put this CD changer offff , don't like the look and as I think it was installed later. Phhhhh looks ugly with this wires Thanks for answer guys
