hi i recently bought a 458 and have to get a smog check in Cali but the car died as i didn't keep it on the charger. i bought a charger and it wouldn't fit, then went genuine ferrari now its intermittently flashing green and solid green. the lights wont turn on after 12 hours and the key got stuck in the ignition because of the ignition lock, any suggestions? i heard jump starting it is bad, do you think itll turn on eventually how many days?

Battery may be damaged. If you locked your doors in your garage when storing it, the immobilizer was turned on. The immobilizer is a parasitic drain, along with all the other ECU's. I'm also wondering if the key's battery is dead as well.

    Jump starting is no problem.

Once you have got it started there will probably be some fault codes but a short drive should clear them.

Give the contact charging magnets a clean with alcohol or similar and the reconnect the charger and see hows it goes.

Nice car , Your epoxy coated concrete wont last so having said that your battery is cactus.

Every buyer of a second hand Ferrari should always negotiate a new battery install.

Change the battery, buy a starter and keep it in the car and have it always on the tender when not driving, Fact , Full stop.

    Your poll

Keeping it on the tender . Wont fix you situation
Jump Start . Will get it going and when you turn it off you will still have an issue.
You need a new battery " BINGO "
