    Hello.

I just went from the 458 to the 488. Both cars are not for daily driving so they sometimes stand in the garage for some time. In my old 458 the battery was empty in 1,5 weeks without driving and charging. Is this similar in the 488?

Conventional wisdom seems to be always use the tender if at all possible. I drive my 488 only once a week, and it’s always on the tender otherwise. While that may be conservative, there are enough stories that it appears this is fairly Car-dependent, so how badly do you want to find out? ;)

My problem is that a constant use of the tender is not possible. I'm living in a city and the car is located in a garage where a socket is not always availible. So the general approach is to charge after 1-3 weeks in winter. My hope was that the endurance of the 488 battery is longer because of the Start-Stop-Automatic. I heart that you need bigger batteries for this.

With the start-stop system, the battery is indeed OK for about 3 weeks (it won't last a month). But I don't know whether it's still the case if it's repeatedly left unplugged for such time.

I’m still driving my 458, everyday but I don’t contend with snow. I charge it in my garage for about 1 hour . No issues with my battery (AGM) which is now about three years old. Car has got 99,000 miles
