Need help gang, it's finally happened to me. Battery powers all electronics but not enough to start vehicle. I have a 2003 360 coupe. Battery tender on vehicle and showing battery charged. After getting car started and driving it still was barely able to restart so believe battery not taking charge from any source. Re tried the battery tender and again showing charged but not enough to start. Time for Optima? Would like to know model that will work for my application.
    Thanks for the help.......

An 03 is pretty new for a battery change, but it's possible! Make sure your alternator belt is properly tensioned, because that would cut down the charging. The Fiamm factory batteries are not so great

I used an Interstate MTP-91, and boy does that spin that engine over! I know there is an Optima model that fits well. I'd do a search for 360 battery to find the number.

I keep mine on the tender all the time, and it pays off!

Sure sounds like a failing battery...I have used both the Optima and the Interstate...your choice. The Optima never requires checking of the fluid though, and can't leak. But a few folks have complained recently of short life and other issues with the Optima...so it seems a toss up.

    Great advice.

I replaced mine with a Costco battery and was chatting with the service attendant there. He reinforced the idea that battery maintenance is imperative to extending the life of the battery as he has seen a boater who bought a new battery the previous year and then left it unattended over a long Seattle winter resulting in a dead battery the following spring.
It is good that you are using the battery tender.

He is lucky he got around 3 years out of that battery. Where i come from, 75% of batteries dont last 1.5 years. :D

They are a funny thing sometimes. Personally, i think the battery that the factory fits, lasts the longest, without giving you any issue's. Then the aftermarket batteries after that are crap. My 348 has a battery dated early 2005, and its let me down 3 times now(flat) since ownership last November. Time for a new one. :)
