My car is dead and the Owners Manual is, of course, in the trunk. A couple of questions:

    1. Where is the battery located on a 2000 360 Modena?

    2. Is it a difficult task to replace the battery?

    3. What type and size battery should I get?

    Thanks so much in advance!!

You can open the front trunk with a manual pull wire that is located under the left side of the dash.
You'll see a red t-handle (might be a circle handle) that is connected to a pull wire.
Gently pull on that handle and you'll hear the front trunk pop open.

The battery on a 360 is behind the footwell on the inside of the car, on the passenger side of the car.
There are two large screws/bolts under the top edge of the carpeting.
Remove those and pull the top of the footwell back (it is hinged on the bottom).

Warning - do not try to jump start your 360 using jumper cables.
You can fry the electronics in the car.
You can recharge the battery using either the Ferrari charger or something like a Battery Tender charger.
There is a battery disconnect switch inside the trunk (it is a knob you rotate left or right to connect/disconnect the battery).
You can disconnect the battery while it is being charged if you want to be extra safe (I used to charge mine without disconnecting though - neveer had any problems).

    Good luck.

Very nice info Ron! Ferrari comes with a battery charger for the battery? The things you learn on here :)

It was an option you could buy for the 360 and 430. Kind of pricey, as I remember.
One comes standard with the 458. (haven't hooked mine up yet though - will need to soon when winter comes).

An inexpensive Battery Tender brand trickle charger worked great on both my 360 and 430 when I owned them.

A Battery Tender comes with a quick disconnect cable with 2 types of leads to the battery.
One lead has small alligator clips on the end, the other lead has bolt circles for a more permanent mount.
I used to use the bolt-on lead and tuck the quick disconnect plug under the dash on the passenger side of the car.
That way, I didn't have to get to the battery area to charge the battery.
Just set the Battery Tender on the car's floor, hook up the lead connector, run an extension cord out a partially opened passenger window, and leave the car charging in the garage.

Thanks guys for all your help, once again!! Also, a special thanks to Dominic (Ferris Bueller) for coaching me along on swapping out my battery!!

2 important things for all you 360 owners when changing out a battery:

    1. Turn "Off" the Battery Switch in the bonnet prior to disconnecting the old battery and connecting the new battery.

    2. After connecting the new battery, start the car, without anything on such as the radio, fan, etc. and let it run for 10 minutes.

Mission accomplished and the car is back to its normal self!! Thanks again for all your help! This forum is the BEST!!
