My 95 F355 has been sounding like it has a bad muffler. It does not seem to miss and I could not find any exhaust leaks. While driving today, my battery lilght came on. Could this make the car sound like it has a bad exhaust? Is it causing the injectors, ignition, to not work properly?

Check your headers. The stock 355 headers are know to burn holes in the primaries.

As for your battery light, check the tension on your alternator belt, and then make sure that you have the extra ground strap attached to the alternator.

Headers have been replaced and I have the ground strap. Wondering if the battery was weak, it would effect the ignition? Weak spark?

Did you check the tension for the alternator belt yet?

Yes the battery going bad can cause problems.

From what you describe above it sounds like you have a blown right side exhaust header (sounds like a lawnmower but runs smooth). When one or two of the header tubes have a hole burned out in them they usually blow the fiberglass type packing out. This packing is underneath the header heat sheild and can usually be identified in the form of fiberous dust in the engine compartment. The alternator is located beneath and just forward of the right exhaust header. When the fiber dust is blown out of the heat shield, the alternator airflow tends to draw the dust inside itself. This will cause alternators to fail. I have had to replace more than a few alternators due to this happening.
