I am not an F-car owner yet, someone told me that they had a friend who's f-car's battery was behind the drivers side rear wheel in a tray of sort. Is this true? and where are the battery's located in different models?

I'm courious to know because I am a firefighter and another shift at my work attended an accident involving an F-car. The knowledge might come in handy one day(I hope I never see a Ferrari in an accident!!)

Hi Mike...wow, the battery can be in a few places on the newer Ferraris...enough that it could be very hard to remember. On 360's it is behind the passenger foot board. On the 355 it is accessed through the right front wheel well, requiring removal of the right front tire, and then use a #2 Phillips screwdriver to remove the hatch.

More importantly, most of the newer Ferraris, (since the late 80's) will have a battery cut-off rotary switch in the front trunk. Earlier cars may have a red or black plastic cable disconnect, that you pull apart also in the front trunk.

White Rock? Love all the hotties along the waterfront! Girlfriend's family used to own one of the many fish and chip shops along there....they sold it a year ago.

355- inside well of passenger side front wheel. Wheel has to come off to access battery.

Guys, not putting a dampner on this thread but knowledge of where a cars battery sits is also useful to thieves who need to isolate the alarm and tracking mechanisms. I am NOT doubting the original post but be wary when you give this information to 1st time posters or general public.

Not to sound too cyanical, but I agree with you on this topic. Without placing and doubt on the initial poster's true intentions, but a little pre-caution will not hurt.
