    I'm looking at getting a new battery. Does anyone have any recommendations? i'm in the UK so something I could get here would be good!

    A standard wet cell 24R should be fine...R means the pos and neg are reversed.

    You might confirm your old one is that way.

    It is secured by a base clamp, be careful not to snap the bolt, it'll be rusty.

    I have some crude replica battery covers, if you need one of those.....

    Not sure if you can get them over there but I have always had great luck with Interstate batteries.

    Tex - I think you mean 34R. Not sure if batteries use same sizing nomenclature in Europe.

    Thanks guys.

    I Don't surf so much any more! A 1 year old and four year old have put paid to that! Did most of my surfing when I lived in West Oz but there are some good breaks in the UK.

    Its just a battery - question regularly asked and answered here - often called a 34R - try asking Halfords or Tayna

    I just bought a Delco 34R from our local Chevy dealer for less than the box stores models for my 77 GTB, #21567 since were counting.
