    hey guys. I got a California T a few weeks ago and am loving it! unfortunately it didn't come with the original battery trickle-charger/slow charger. I got the dealer to order one for me but I have no idea how to use it and the dealer isnt being massively helpful

    I saw a video online of someone connecting the charger to the back of the car in a magnetic area on the trunk lid - above the registration plate and to the left using a round looking charger point. however I can't find a round magnetic charger point in the battery tender they sent me. any ideas?

    also does anyone know if the chargers normally only come in European plug sockets or as a brit if they normally come with a 3-pin uk plug ? I have a feeling they may have sent me the wrong one?

    The tender they supplied is probably the correct OEM Ferrari one, since it is so branded. However, the connector they gave you is for the older style connector that fits inside the trunk of the F12 or below the glove box on the 458. I'm not sure when then made the change to the newer style connector, but that is what you will need. It will connect to the tender you have right now. While the tender you have is good, I prefer to use the larger capacity CTek 7002 (it might be labelled slightly differently for markets outside the US). It can provide more amps to the car if requested and I think has better battery conditioning circuitry. I also think its built a little better and handles things like brownouts/ surges better.
