Basic question. I was installing the trickle charger for my 348. . .and it doesn't come with any nuts for the battery terminals.

Does anyone know the size of the nuts used to hold the battery cables? I just want to put the eyelet from the trickle charger over the exposed screw and secure it in place with another nut.

    thanks

That will work fine. Another method to consider that saves you from having to open the engine lid, is to simply spice on a cigarette lighter adapter to one of your sets of leads that came with the battery tender.

The 18 gauge wire is quite long, and thin enough that you can safely close the door on it, as the rubber seals will simply compress around it.

I just checked the cable terminal on the old negative cable from my 348, as it came from the factory (but long since replaced) and the nut head is 10mm, the threads are standard 6 x 1.00mm pitch.

    Thanks for the info.

I connected the eyelids to the battery and have the little plug poking out through the back grill. . .It stays in place by itself and I just have to connect it up to the charger when I get home. . .easy.
