Hi all, I know this has been discussed many times before, but my issue is slightly different.

When I look behind the passenger seat, I see the electrics different from all the other battery tether pictures on the internet. On closer examination, it seems that I’m running Magneti Marelli rather than the Bosch system. Not sure what this means and unsure where I connect the tether.. Direct connection to the battery I guess.

Does anyone know if there is something I should be made aware of or unique with the Magneti Marelli system?

For context, it’s a 2005 which has only been serviced by the main Ferrari dealer its entire life. I’m a new owner, had it for only 1 week. I’ve attached a pic of the area behind the passenger seat and also the battery area.
In case you’re wondering about the storage net, I removed it to give the leather a proper moisturising behind the net frame.

Look in the compartment behind the other seat - left hand side of car. I think you opened up the wrong side.

I personally decided not to connect a battery tender to the electronics behind the seat, instead, directly to the battery.
The reasoning is in the event you turn your battery switch off, now the entire car is now powered by that tender which provides a variable small amperage and even discharge.
The electronics are known to be sensitive as well as expensive on these and it's not worth the risk.
On the battery however, it's 100% safe

Thanks Ken. Well noted. I’ll take your advice.
