    Hello everyone,

My name is Jeff Brown, I am the Senior Area Sales Manager for Meguiar's Inc. I have been with Meguiar's now for over 11 years and enjoy giving training seminars for car guys to help you achieve your goals in the most effective way possible. Frank Zucchi and I have schedule a Detailing seminar for Saturday April 22nd. The class will be held at Frank's Ferrari restoration shop in Livermore, CA. Forgive me for I do not have all the details as of yet. More to be posted later

This seminar is not a products advertisement! , it focuses on technique and applications which will help you attain your goal regardless of who's products you use. Robert from Auto Concierge will hopefully be in attendance to assist in giving the class.

The class outline is as follows:

    Session One:
    Engine Detailing
    Wheel/Tire/Wheel Well/Door Jambs
Washing- proper techniques to assure defect free washing....
Paint Evaluation- I will have each person use our surface evaluation form used in dealership to evaluate their own car. They will have 10 minutes to accomplish this.

    Session Two:
Demonstration done inside the Barn on a volunteers vehicle
Paint Claying- Hands on application for everyone
    Paint Prepping- Hands on demonstration
Dual Action Power Polishing- Hands on demonstration
Bonnet removal of polishes and waxes

Tire Care, Rubber Trim and Seals, Clear Plastics will be covered time permitting...

Class should run approximately 3-4hours depending on groups desires. More details to come once I firm them up with Frank.

Please RSVP to my emaila address @ [email protected]

Look forward to hearing the roar of all those Ferrari's.

    Warmest Regards,

    Jeff Brown
    Senior Area Sales Manager
    Meguiar's Inc.

Frank Zucchi repainted my car so I can vouch for the excellet work there. Bob detailed it, so this is looking like a pretty good crew all around. I should be able to make it.

    Hey Guys
Hang tight, I will try to confirm details with Frank on Thurdsay. Have not been able to reach him. Will try to go with 10am till 1pm. From there Frank was going to try and schedule a luncheon at a local winery. Perhaps then you guys could go on a road rally up in the hills.

    Stay tuned

This statement worries me! Is this not a "detail" seminar? What no "details"!!

I'm in. What can I do?

    Someone bring Bob Willis, please!

In Oct, I attended the Meguiars clinic at their headquarters in Irvine, CA and it was absolutely priceless. While Meguiars has THE MOST CONFUSING retail product line ever, Mike Phillips made quick work of explaining techniques and product applications for each as well as showing how to evaluate the paint to resolve which product to use.

I ended up blowing out my old myths/preconceived ideas about the D/A buffer and buying one.

greg relax, i'll be there, syncro is right a porter cable with the right steps can turn a novice into a pretty capable person. the meguiars ( retail line ) is confusing even to me!! redundantcy abounds, howevever the DETAILER line is more straight foward plus the products work way better. it is always amusing to see detailing steps discussed, as everyone is looking for a miracle wax, or sealant. the real secret is there is no secret, to get paint perfect it takes compounding first with a rotary buffer, then moving on to polishing with the porter cable buffer or cyclo polisher, plus other factors such as temp where your detailing, and lot's of light!to see the flaws in the finish.

Come on buddy, do you go on the Snap on truck and say "why do you have so many wrenches and sockets when they all do the same thing"? Due to the many types of surfaces, time challenges, application preferences, etc. This is why Meguiar's has so many products. Understandably, to some, it may become confusing, we will be sure to clear it up on April 22nd.
See you guys then. Look forward to it!!!

Frank's business is Carrozzeria and the phone is 925-321-6474.

I don't have his address but know it's at the end of Vasco Road in Livermore.
I cannot remember how to get there, and his address is not on his business card.

Bob Willis knows where he is.

    Bob, enlighten us please.
