Just bought an '88 328 GTS and it's booked in for a visit with Brian Crall to figure out what kind of deferred maintenance issues I have inherited.

The other immediate concern is the interior which is looking very tired, especially the seats of course. Trim shops seem to come and go with alarming frequency, so any current recommendations in the Bay Area (I'm in Los Gatos) would be much appreciated.

    Thanks in advance.

I have been referred to and have spoken with Fernando at:

    Prestige Auto Upholstery
    6159 Vineland Avenue
    North Hollywood, CA 91606
    (818) 430-6659

I have tried to find one locally with the reputation that Fernando has, but i have not been successful.

Eventhough in LA, he does fabulous work, and I am planning on having him do a bit for me.

Have attached a picture of his work on one car.

I would say that Fernando is to upholstery what Brian Crall is to mechanicals.

I'd love to see how that interior looked before.

I've used Palo Alto Upholstery in PA and Premier Upholstery in Sunnyvale. My work was pretty basic though.

Avoid Bascom Upholstery in SJ. They are terrible in service and unreliable.

Upholstery shop is very hard to find indeed.

This is why when you find a winner stay with him.

Fernando is very well respected, and from what I have been told he does all of F of Beverly Hills work!

You can send to him what you need done, and he'll send it back.
