    OK, back in 94 I bought a house in UK for 55k quid.. exactly what a TRossa cost at the time coincidentally, as I clearly remember a junior stockbroker buying one that I prepped, for the exact same amount on the same day I completed contracts....

    Anyway, in 98 I sold the house, and used the profit to buy my share in the BB....which I later topped up and bought outright

    Recently, my old house, with near zero expenditure on improvemnts etc, sold for 165k quid...

    Did I do the wrong thing? I still own the BB, but the TRossa is worth less than my BB now...

    What do you make of that lot?

    Exactly, eh dad?

    (dad saw an indicated 195 mph in one BB, not mine though, I only got 185 out of mine, but that was at night with the headlight pods up!!)

    it's the 'waiting to be old' syndrome. it took 10 years to triple that money, and you can't be guaranteed of it even doubling value again over ten years.

    so, have a fun car now and figger out a better way to MAKE that money again rather than by just killing time, or sit around bored and wait until you're not as fit and healthy and your priorities have shifted, hoping that the house will pay for a fun car in ten years time....
