Hi BBR Collectors, Does any one know what is the value for a Blue ENZO by BBR limited to 20 pieces. I could not fine them on Gasoline or BBR website. Regards, TC
you will probably never be able to find enzo with special color on their website (red and yellow are common). Try EBay but it should be quite expansive.
I have been on eBay almost every free time i get but, with no luck at all. Anyway, thanks and hopefully one will pop up in eBay.
Is it possible that the blue version was made as an exclusive for a particular shop, rather than being a "regular" BBR?
I think anyone that pays that kind of price for a BBR is insane. Years ago, I was the first official importer of BBR to the US (1982-1987). I was teaching in England, but also spending a fair amount of time in Los Angeles. I dealt with Sandro Gallian, who lived in Basel Switzerland. He hasn't been involved with BBR for many years, and I believe his only relationship was as a financeer. I paid something like $35 for BBRs, including import duties and crating and shipping costs. Even the cars SUPPOSEDLY made as an exclusive for me (MINI GARAGE) cost the same thing. I never got more than 30 of any MINI GARAGE/BBR model (the 330 Liliana di Rethy in light metalic blue), and stopped dealing with BBR because the MINI GARAGE models were supposed to be my exclusive (300 of each car to be made over 3 years), but BBR sold MY models directly to various dealers in Europe, for the same price they were charging me or less!! I know this because Tron and others were selling MY models retail at just a little more than I paid wholesale!! I only ever got 5 of one of the versions of the BBR/MINI GARAGE Porsche Indy car, and NONE of the other version!!! I have NO idea how many of ANY of the MINI GARAGE/BBR models were actually made!! Half the models in any of the shippments (both BBR and MINI GARAGE/BBR) arrived damaged or with bad paint, as they were still using the small boxes, or the soft 2 part boxes that consisted of a soft cover and a "slide-in" tray.
I think that a Blue BBR Enzo is as rare as a real one 8only 3, probably 4 in the world). Anyway, this saturday i am going to take a stroll in the center of the town: i'll enter into the Ferrari Store and check. Usually they have a lot of 1/43 BBR models, also rare models (Vitaphone MC12 and Ferraris from the FIA GT Championship). I'll also ask on the Ferrari Store website if there's the possibility to get one.
I know that there are hard to find. But, if one is available, the asking price must be premiun. Thanks for checking at the Ferrari Store.
A factory built model is always going to be worth more than a kit, even though the quality of some builders is substantially better. I think anything over $500 for ANY 1/43rd handmade is insane. I used to buy Bouissou Bugattis for around $300, and they are now $3500!
I have seen blue BBR Enzo on eBay. They price was something about $600. What about the white BBR Enzo. Saw price between $300-$400 I am still lucky with my yellow and my red BBR Enzo's Althought a white or blue would be amazing too....................
I disagree. The Bouissou Bugattis have working hood straps, and a fully detailed engine, a louvered (real louvers) engine bonnet, and the leaf springs are individual leaves, so the suspension actually has "bounce"....and these were originally only slightly over $300. They are now about $3500. I remember paying something like $125 for Jacque Brauer modified AMRs with opening parts and engine detail (now $1000 or more), and around $100 for early factory built Bosica models (now around $1000). Bouissou website: http://perso.wanadoo.fr/alain.bouissou/ Bouissou T35 link: http://perso.wanadoo.fr/alain.bouissou/01-t35.htm
Check out the Bouissou web page. His work is the best there is in 1/43rd....but he only does Bugattis...the T56 and the T23 he did are no longer available.
Yup...I had the same problem as well Really annoying when you think you have an exclusive and then they pop up for sale everywhere elso too
This seems interesting.. http://cgi.ebay.com/Veloce43-hand-Scratch-built-Enzo-Ferrari-black_W0QQitemZ7001966029QQcategoryZ223QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
Like promised, i went there: nothing. Asked to the salesmen, but they couldn't provide me any good infos. Later i visited the Galleria San Carlo, probably the best die cast models shop here in Rome; they told me that BBR had some very limited edition models, and that probably there's also a Blue Enzo, but since the Ferrari Store is very very close to them, BBR decided to stop supplying them, to avoid contrasts with the near F.Store. They had some exquisit Ferrari models from Looksmart, but no Enzos. Funny thing is: i had the chance to see a real Blue Pozzi Enzo (twice in a few monts), and i can't see a die cast one....
There's a blue enzo on ebay now... http://cgi.ebay.com/1-43-BBR-Built-Ferrari-Enzo-2002-BLUE-MIRABEAU_W0QQitemZ7004472644QQcategoryZ19066QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
There are other amazing builders in 1/43 that build based on existing models AND do Ferrari.... http://www.linkclub.or.jp/~ak-model/finished/312t2.htm http://www.linkclub.or.jp/~ak-model/finished/126c2.htm http://www.momofactory.com/gallery/e_galleryflm.htm http://www.momofactory.com/gallery/e_galleryflm.htm http://www.momofactory.com/gallery/e_galleryflm.htm http://www.momofactory.com/gallery/e_galleryflm.htm
Beautiful work, but EVERY part on a Bouissou model is scratch built by him. He does not work from other's kits.
