I just saw a couple of pictures from BBR factory and they have some new things cooking, amongst them an fxx (the model was quite large probably 1/12, and something much more interesting to me, a 250 TDF 1/18....it would be nice if Blue moon where to release them as well.

Saw the same pictures.. Its a 3d printed master. Every modell made by BBR is created with the help of these large models. This is the base to scale them down to the desired scale.

They can create everything they ever made in 1:18.
The decision what to make is based on commercial prospects.
In short, they will make what sells, an FXX is very unlikely..
A TDF will be a good choice, but the 365 California will be the first they make in 1:18.

What makes me happy is that they are still producing in Italy.

Like the sound of the TDF, there's multiple versions of that which would look fabulous in 1/18.

Yes, both the TDF and the 365 cali are awsome models...unfortunatly too much expensive for my wallet...although i've been known to make a crazy buy or find a very good deal on such dream machines from time to time...My hope lies on Blue moon...i'm currently waiting on a 340 mm vignale from the panamericana (it´s basicly half the price from BBR) and wayting also for them to release the Le mans TR by the end of the year...

Yesterday I saw the new BBR 275 GTB 1/18. It's a seriously beautiful model! I'm on the fence though. I don't know if I can justify spending 450 euros on a sealed model against a 399 euro Exoto Sharknose or the sealed Fujimi Breadvan I just bought for 225 euros.

I have this new 275 GTB/4 model and it is a beautiful model. Highly recommended..... if you can justify the price.

I would love it but it´s way too much expensive for me....no one can justify paying more for a closed bbr than for a fully open cmc, or an exoto (if you skip the ulytra expensive dType and 246) I know the bbr resin models are amazing but no one can convinve me they are worth more than a 375+ or a 512bb lm. This said, if i ever have some spare money and i find a good deal i would love that 275 gtb!!

I wan´t that car so much, it looks stuning, but i ordered a 340mm vignale from the panamericana so it will have to wait a bit...and i believe in august the elite la Ferrari is coming so i have to buy that one too!!!

Peter, I am sure that you will spot that despite the BBR description, the model is actually a 275 GTB/4 fitted with the original Dunlop mags. I am not sure about the nose shape but it has a hood bulge, external boot hinges, a chrome Prancing Horse on the boot and chromed rain gutters above the doors.

Having said this, I bit the bullet and invested in a giallo version, which looks absolutely fabulous.

    Hi John,

How are you? Hope to see you at Silverstone in September?

In an earlier thread the model's correctness was discussed, see Jonathan's post:

    Thanks Peter

I had missed previous correspondence on this model so apologies for raising an 'old' topic!

I haven't seen the blue or red versions but I would expect them to be identical to the yellow one.

I believe the long nose was introduced at Paris in 1965 and that would have had the external hinges etc. However, my recollection is that the prancing horse did not appear until the GTB/4. I guess a show car could have been an exception.

Am I alone in questioning the snout of the BBR model? Before I saw it 'in the flesh' I assumed it would be a short nose. It is not but nonetheless seems a touch bulbous for a long nose. Of course, BBR rarely get anything significant wrong!

Yes, look forward to seeing you at Silverstone.

    John
