Just wondering if this is doable 360 BBS wheels on a 355? If anyones done it can you post a pic Thx chas Image Unavailable, Please Login
To answer your question, I sold a set of those and that question was asked several times. By my checking and members that posted pictures they will fit 348, 355. 360 and F430. Those are great wheels, extremely light weight if you are a track guy.
Here are similar wheels (360??) on a 348... I think they look fantastic!!! Sorry for the non 360 post/thread.... Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
If the BBS wheels have a true 360 offset (no spacers involved) then they won't fit your car. The offsets are different. As shown above it appears that BBS does make a correct fitment for the 348 which should also fit a 355.
Those ARE stock 360 challenge wheels, the DO fit with no mods, and you WILL be happy with the upgrade!!!! ;o) Note, you WILL have to buy a set of wheel bolts because they use a different lenth. (roughly 500 from Daniel at Ricambi) Scott
Interesting can somebody photoshop some onto a 355? Just wanted to have a peak before I decide. PS thanks Doc!!
I believe these wheels fit because some earlier 348s have a narrower hub/track to fender than later 348 and all 355s. This one example may be one.... So they may stick out too much on a 355...
Actually, the difference in total track between the 1989-1991 348 and the 92+ 348 series speciale/spider lays in the offset of the WHEELS. There was no change in the hub; the offset change was made to the rear wheels to increase the track width, for more stability. I've been told that 360 Challenge BBS wheels will indeed fit a 348/355 street car, but will NOT fit on a 355CH, due to the lowered suspension.... vty, --Dennis
let me ask you what is the bolt patten on the whlees you are showing us ? what is the offset ? what is the size your planning to run ? and what type of wheel weight do you want to stay with in ??? you will need to pick the rim that is best suited for your car and the one you like and have the location that will be doing the rim mounting have them mounted on the car and check for te following a-shock & suspension clearance b-full lock for left or right for clearance in the wheel well c-fender lip clearance d-and the same for the rear. for shock and fender lip clearance. good luck. just remember bolt pattern on a ferrari is 5x108 so you can find this on the back of the rim like this its stamped on the rim. -bolt patten - is the spacing between the bolts -offset - is the distance betweeen the center of the rim to the shock collar and where the back side of the inner lip is located -width- is the size from left to right ro from lip to lip -diamater- is the top to bottom size of the rim. so 5X108 = bolt patten +10 = off set 10.5= width 19in= diameter 19X10.5 +10 5X108 and I swear to god if you catch any one trying to sell you rims for your FERRARI OR EXOTIC AND THEY OR THE PERSON TRYING TO SELL YOU THE ITEM DOES NOT KNOW, take your business else where as that person is only looking to make a quick buck and not take care of your car should you get sold something wrong.
DID YOU BUY THEM YET????!!!!????!!!! ;o) I whish I was at home so I could post a pic. They will fit ALL 348s and 355s. And yes, if you lower the car too far I suppose ANYTHING will rub. These wheels are light and 18 inch just like the factory 355 wheels (but better). They fit and they do not rub. Go get em! ;o) S
I was just going to say that, if you can get a set go for the LM's as far as looks, performance? BBS CH's all the way!
BBS stopped making the LMs for the F355. I've tried so hard to find one for sale even from direct dsitributors of BBS in the USA. OENGUS.. Did you buy the wheels ? Can you please post a pic ?
OK.. To set this information set, I'm posting some pictures... I borrowed my friend's challenge wheels for the 360 ahd installed the rear wheels on my 355 and IT DOES NOT FIT... Please see pics below... (Please note that the wheels are not from the stradale, BBS made them for the 360).
