Imagine what races would be like without blue flags. Call it passing or call it lapping it is very difficult (and dangerous) for even the fastest F1 car to get by the slowest on today's tracks without the acquiescence of the car being passed (or lapped). Monaco without blue flags would quickly devolve in to a long slow procession led by the slowest car. Who here would want to watch such a race. As equitable as it might be?
You don't seem to even understand the concept of backmarkers, much less blue flags. A slower car in a different class is not a backmarker. In those type of races, there are really multiple races going on at the same time. The faster classes naturally catch the slower classes. It is RUDE and unsportsmanlike for cars in a slower class to hold up cars in a faster class; they would be spoiling the other race and they are not even racing each other! Backmarkers ARE racing the leaders. Not very well though, in fact so poorly that again they are spoilers and not actually in the hunt. Again, it's rude to not pull over when the "pass" is not even for position.
In my experience with racing, everyone, except possibly a dominant winner, wants to change the rules.
It's not Branson's first whine to the press, I guess that's the difference. If he can turn a profit on his exit then good for him. I just have to contest the notion that Branson is some sort of sportsman who is in it for the competition. He's made it clear with word and action that, for him, it's about turning a profit. That's tough to do in F1. And when we've seen some amazing racing at the expense of profit, the F1 that Branson wants would mean the death of the F1 we all love. That's why I don't want him in F1. He's toxic. But he has a lot of nutswingers who envy him so he gets a free pass from many (nobody inferred, specifically).

I didn't think you were. I'm just unfamiliar with the phrase. We don't hear that sort of talk much here at the monastery.
That's because you spend too much time hitting on the nuns at the convent behind Su Changs. Nutswingers is most definitely a pejorative for one who behaves like a scrotal remora - there's a few in these parts (pun intended!)
