I am having issues with my top on my 360. I have read all the threads but can not get mine to function correctly. I have pushed the bar back at 90 and the top goes down into its compartment. Then nothing happens with the painted cover. If I let off the switch it pops up like attached photo. Is there a latch that is suppose to grab it? If I turn the car off with the top like the picture the painted cover comes down [attached pic]. When I push the button to lower the top it just sounds the bell like the movement is over.

I have watched the micro switches activate on my launch scan tool and it seems that all activate. Any help would be great.

If the painted cover is coming up at the wrong time, the solenoid valve for the rams that actuate it might be faulty.

Do you have a scanner that can read the top ECU codes? You may have some useful information there.

If you have to manually move the bar, your elastics are shot.

The painting cover is not coming down. The soft top goes into the compartment with the painted cover stays up. I was just letting you know that when I turned the car off The painted cover comes down as it's seen in the picture. I will check to see about the ECU info. The soft top elastic is shot for sure. I am going to replace the canvas but I want to make sure the top mechanically functions also. BtW hydrolic fluid lvl is fine

I believe the problem might be in the way the back portion of the convertible top material is folding. There is a slit on both side of the “buttresses” that must fold out, otherwise the top will not seat down correctly and the capote will not fold back down. Even though I have had my convertible top material is new and new elastics installed, I am still having to train the material to fold outwards so that the top lays down correctly. I have an older post with some pics of what I am talking about. Good luck!

I suspect the problem is in the elastics that connect with your headliner. If they weren't properly replaced when you had the new canvas installed, then the fold will be off and you'll see a jam.

This video shows how the bar should move.

The front portion of the top is being manually moved in this video. The key is off.

Thank you for the video so that I could see what was going on with the bar. Made me look a little closer and now I have the top going up and down.
