Maybe if it had 710 miles instead of 7100 miles, you'd at least start to be in the parking lot of the ballpark.

If someone was interested in this red/tan 328, how would you approach the dealer when his pricing is so not "fair market" pricing? The dealer would either laugh at you, or be insulted if you brought a "fair market" offer.

What year, if ever, did a 328 bring this kind of money? Wasn't the original MSRP around $78K?

Must be a Wall Street guy that still thinks he is in 2006, or the dealer is seriously "upside down" in this vehicle.

I was there a month ago (looking at a Ford! Don't laugh.) and although their cars are admittedly very low mile and mostly pristine, the prices are definitely in the "throw the price guide out the window" range.

They had a 308QV when I was there CRAMMED in a row of other cars - I'd call it "swollen inventory" - that was on the average side, but still way over average priced.

Far as your question Joe, I'll predict the answer will be along the lines, of "Where you gonna find another one with these miles to compare?" or similar.

Guess time'll tell on this one, but for nearly 80grand, I'd be shopping for something different, nice as it is.

The answer would be Naples Motorsports. They have a red/black 88 with only 4k miles for under $70k. Still a lot of money for a 328, but lower miles and a lower price.

The saleman would tell you: "But that's a red/black not red/tan which is more desirable" :)

True, but for the price difference I would just buy the red/black car and three complete interiors in different colors. :)

True (LOL!), but the valuable 328 is a GTB, not the "more common" GTS, which clearly you won't hear from the salesman....

Their 308 looks pretty average, especially the interior. Not sure why Marshall bought that one, unless it was a trade.

As far as the 328, probably a $70K car to someone set on a high end 328. To someone looking for a 'driver' 328, definitely not the right kind of car.

If they throw in a Patek, 10 day all expense paid trip to St. Barths, your next major service in a few years, then this deal doesn't look half bad.

    Or the price guides.

    Most buyers want the convertible.

Problem is, with that mileage you won't even be able to drive it or you will be eating up the price premium you paid with every mile.

So I guess it doesn't matter how well it runs.
