Look at this...! When i saw it, i did a double take...! i couldn't believe my eyes at first...! Aloud, without even realizing it, i mumbled, "...o.. oh ****..."

The color on this car - Rosso Rubino - makes it look COMPLETELY different... i saw so many angles and lines i've never seen on the Superamerica before... It looks incredible...

The SA is a great car. If the 600 Whatever looks anything like the spy mules, I predict that SAs will hold their value very well.

I noticed the missing center-caps on the wheels... Was the car being preped for delivery to the new owner?

Well I don't think the production cars will have tacked on 612 body panels and camo....

I hope not. But, in my mind's eye, Ferrari (or Pinnifarnia) has dropped the ball on V12 style after the Maranello. The Enzo is just plain weird looking, and the 612 looks like a big guppy. In fact, I really can't stand the current bull nose fad that is everywhere! Hopefully, this is deja vu all over again with the wedge shapes of the late 70s and early 80s that came and mercifully went.

Since I first saw a picture of a SuperAmerica in Rosso Rubino it was clear to me that Rosso Rubino is the colour to go for. Looks fabulous on a 575 SA, but also on a 612,...

Well after seeing a few 612s in person, I have changed my mind, I actually like it alot. As for the wedge shape, it's way to "1980" for my taste.

Definitely a good color on that car. I think the 550/575/Barchetta/SA's seem to do better in the more subdued, "non-standard" colors.

That looks sensational, thanks for the pics NNO.

I saw a 575 in Rosso Rubino (I think it is anyway) at the weekend, it is definately a lovely colour. :)

Is It Me or is the Barchetta a much , much better example of what this car is all about...As with many cars the original iteration is always the best, Design improvement on an original look rarely improves the breed.
    Examples

    Countach early, then late.
    308.....328.
    Can you add any more!!!!

    Yeah, it is you. :)

The Barchetta wasn't a true drop top. I guess because its top would blow off once you got to 60 mph, maybe it should be called a flop top?

Targa tops, from a design standpoint, have always been a PIA. Look at Porsche it has been trying for over 30 years and still can't get it right.

Personally, I think the flip top on the SA is a pretty innovative design. But maybe this is just me. :)

FoD delivered a Rosso Rubino SA with a Rosso interior. It wouldn't have been my interior choice, but the car was gorgeous.
