So I popped off the left cover. I can insert the removal tool into the right side and the radio becomes loose on that side but the left side key won’t insert deep enough to release the radio, it goes in till the little nub can touch the plastic. I triple checked and I had the tools with the correct side up, I even swapped tools.

Any trick to this or alternative way to get the radio out without breaking something?

Worst case I’ll call Becker on Monday and when this whole lock down is done I can driver to Becker in NJ for help, but I’d like to figure this out.

    Thanks,
    Cheers,
    Corey

I think if you keep at it you'll get it. A bit more wiggle, maybe. Ive pulled several Beckers and it's always a challenge on some, other came right out

last resort, go down under, push from behind.
after a few times, I don't even bother to pull from front.
I push from behind every time!!

OK, finally got it out. I wasn't pushing hard enough on the left side. I did mark the keys at 1" to know if they went too far.

After the radio was out, I installed my GPS antenna and reinstalled the radio. On a lark, since the car was out of the garage so I could use a ladder to get in my loft, I went into grabbed my aftermarket Porsche Becker keys. Tried them and they were much easier to take the radio out. So know I know to use those instead.

    Cheers,
    Corey

Too funny about the Porsche keys. Note to future viewers of this thread.
