Becker head unit removal keys stuck

    ... so I bought the keys to remove the head unit and get my serial number check.

    Now I can't get the 2 keys out of the head unit!! What is the secret, I'm feeling pretty incompetent at the moment.

    You have to press down the locking bar at the side and than the keys goes out very easy!

    Ah, yes, thanks! Wasn't pressing hard enough I guess.

    The fact that there is even a code with these awful radios still surprises me. Do yourself a favor and get an aftermarket head unit

    Got it all sorted out and a I have a working factory stereo again... after a couple of back and forths with becker. Comical how much work can go into getting there after a battery disconnect... especially considering the quality of the audio.

    You'd swear a team of engineers set things up the way they did for comic relief.
