    Hi , guys

I've read manual book of CS which has heck of thickness to read, actually that manual version is in 3 languages (Italiano,Spanish,English) and think about I'm Korean^^

My last production of CS will be arrived here in a week, and now I'm getting worried rather than excitement.

    1) How to start ignition on & off ( there is 1 key and 1 engine start button)

    2) what is the small red light behind the 4 buttons on the left dashboard?

    3) Race button and L.C button

---------- Can't launch while in Race mode?

    4) About F1 paddle shift.

---------- Is it like Porsch TIP? BMW SMG?
---------- Does it always come 1st gear when you stop in traffic?

I now have not many questions to ask, Cause i'm not still getting it^^

It will be a next week or so, to be delivered home.

I'll appreciate for you kind answers, thanks.

Ok, the flashing red light is the ignition security system. The button on your key fob must be pressed before you can start the car. Doesn't make any difference if you do it before or after you turn the key. You will have 3 key fobs, 1 red master, and 2 black ones. The master should be put away in a safe place. It's used to reprogram a new one if you lose both black fobs. Your car will probably have a black fob wrapped in leather, connected to your key when you get it.
Although I haven't done this, the way I understand L.C. is that you *must* be in Race mode in order to use L.C. I hear it's very hard on the expensive clutch. It's just like holding your foot in on the clutch, but you'll be holding the brake pedal down instead. Rev it up to the rpms you choose, say 4500-5000, and when you're ready to "launch", release the brake pedal, and at the same time FLOOR IT! Get it?
And, yes it will go down to 1st when you come to a stop if you don't do it yourself. What I've been doing is downshift down to 2nd, then let the car do the last downshift to 1st when it stops. I only select 1st when I want to use it while still rolling, which is rarely. I think it will even do all the downshifting from 6th to 1st even if you don't, although I haven't tried this.
Hope this helps, and enjoy your new baby, it's a beauty!

    Thanks, Goodwood^^

I've seen your Stunning CS pictures, and that color was one of my last 2 choices before I've ordered.

Is your Italiano Racing Machine working good so far?

Have you experienced any Mechanical problems or difficulties while you driving?

How much is your Miledge now, Cause I need to know when is the first time due to change oil & filter .etc....

Safe Drive your beauty and the beast^^

I'm @550mi now, and revving the hell out of it at every opportunity! Well, I did that a little before too ;) Gotta pick your time & place to do that though, since it does get VERY loud when provoked!
I did an unscheduled oil change @500mi, but the 1st "official" O.C. is due at the 5k mi svc. The only hiccup I've experienced so far is when I started the car right after the systems check went to "OK" and I hit the starter right away. Some here have said it's best to wait a few more seconds before starting. It ran rough for a few secs, but then cleared itself out in no time. BTW, the 1st morning after my car was delivered to me late at night, I couldn't get it started. I didn't know you had to press the button on the key fob to disable the security system :( See, the delivery truck driver left it running when he offloaded it, and I didn't have occasion to start it myself until the next morning. Had to dig out the manual to figure it out! Made my son 1/2 hr late for school! btw, he didn't mind one bit ;)

    hey
congrats on the car, i know ur gona love it ! :)

anyway i can't really help, except with the F1 (although there may be some changes in the challenge that i may not be familiar with)

okay, i also have a 911 and .. NO, big fat no.. the F1 on ur ferrari is nothing like the tiptronic on the porsche

the porsche is an automatic, and the tiptronic allows you to change gears
however, with the ferrari, it is a manual, and u get to change gears without a clutch.. however, the transmission IS a manual

the car (i'm guessing all F1s do this) will downshift for you.. however you will have to upshift (it does not shift for you even at 9k)
so when if you're doing 100km/h in 4th .. and come to a stop, u can downshift yourself as you go along OR (if you don't) the car will downshift for you.. it will stop at 1st.. you then put it back to Neutral :)

if the CS is like the 355 (am guessing AGAIN this is true to all F1s, maybe am wrong because its meant to be a race car..), the car will automatically go into N if you don't press the brake or pedal for 4 seconds..

common sense makes you think that it is better to put the gear in neutral if you're gonna stop for over 30secs ..

hope this helps, i'm sure the experienced guys will let you know much much more (am just a newbie too hehe) :D

    Julian,

I am confused. I read your post here: http://ferrarichat.com/forum/showpost.php?p=134598403&postcount=11

There, you say you got your CS a month ago. Here, you say it will arrive in a week.

Also, in that other post, you say you ordered it last April with options (evidently from your dealer?) but your pictures are from Auto Salon, in German. Just curious, since there is obviously a dealer in Korea. Do you live in Apgu?

Thanks, I am interested to hear more about your purchase.

Date I 've ordered : last April

Place I bought from : AUTO SALON SINGEN
( there is official Ferari dealer In Korea , However they don't import CS )

Time of Delivery : last OCT ,then stayed in AUTO SALON SINGEN another 3 weeks for check-up and possibility of NOVITEC Tunning.

Transportation : by shipping from ANTWERP Harbor in Belgium, left 3 weeks ago. It usually takes 30 to 40 days to be delivered in ICN harbor in Korea.
Cause, Air freight at this time in Europe is 7000-10000 Euro which is expensive than normal time.

Any more questions? Feel free to do it. thanks^^

cool, I'm assuming that you'll still have to pay the same taxes on it as you would from the dealer even though you are importing yourself. (In other words, very very high taxes... :( )
