    It's not me.

Why does even 1/2 a Beer make a seasoned Whisky Drinker feel doggone tired?

come visit my fraternity, i guarantee we'll take care of any non-drinker. :D

i guess it's just because you're not used to beer, but then again, i'm not an expert on alcoholic beverages. (i drink whatever's in the cup, ain't that old college way? :))

....to answer the question, it could be the inrush of pure carbs to the system.

Interesting.. beer doesn't make me sleepy @ night, but if I have one during the day I'm out like a light. I'm just not sure what carbs would have to do with the timing?

The reason is that alcohol is a depressant and it will make a person relaxed and tired. In the middle of the day, the alcohol slows your activity and usually with the heat of the day, one can fall asleep fairly easily. This usually happens to me when I happen to be a bit tired.

Said whisky drinker can knock 'em back without blinking, no problem.

But, give 'em a little beer on some odd day - suddenly... tired.

Both beverages contain alcohol - whisky, moreso.

    What's up with that?
