I brought a few cases of beer back from Germany a few months ago and have some left stashed in the back of a fridge. It's in dark glass bottles with the clamp down stoppers with rubber gaskets. Is it gonna get skunky if it sits much longer or does it have a longer shelf life?

Not sure. Does refrigerating keep unopened beer better? I had some Polish beers in the back of my pantry for about 6 months and they turned gross. They were in brown bottles and really never saw light.

Only a few months? I think they'd be fine. Give them a taste and find out.

When I went to England in '94 (12yrs old) with my mom, we brought my dad back a Guiness. I think it sat in the fridge until I graduated high school. :D

I go along with the 'drink it now' crowd.

Any beer worth hauling back from Germany is gonna be compromised in 90 days or less; it could already be too late.

Tried one today and it was just fine but I noticed that it was dated to drink by November. Gonna enjoy the rest of it this weekend with the big box of Omaha steaks my mother in law just sent :)
