    Hi Fellas

So the last owner of my 355 washed it a while ago and left the hood up by accident. The result was the leather document holder (and tool kit) were stained really badly, beyond repair (I'm told) so whilst I'm on the lookout for a new set, I thought I'd see what I could do with the old one.

This is the before shots, as you can see they are pretty nasty and look terrible.

I didn't want to paint them, so I instead only had the option to stain them. As stains need to go darker, I had to pick a darker colour. Yes I know the purists will cry, but remember this folder is ready for the scrapheap.

This is what it came up like after 2 cleans, 2 covers with stain and then a leather treatment. I'm pretty happy with the result, and whilst not the original colour it looks a heap better than with the horrible water stains. You can still see the stains, but now they look more like leather patina :)

This will do until I can find a better one (Anybody got one?)

    Looks like a purpleish hue?

Not a fan to be honest. Buy a new one. :D

It’s now even more ready for the scrap heap! There where a couple of 1995 user manuals floating around for sale, looks like you need one of those too.
