    Yeah, I sometimes think if I'd brought the X1/9 back to Australia with me, the 308 itch might not have been so strong!

    Same here. Actually it started my "fourth car" string, my third being a 1964 Alfa Romeo Giulia spider. Tried to start a "fifth string"
    with a Maser QP GT S, but the wife put the kybosh on that saying I was "spoiled"....Go figure... :)

    I love the X1/9. That was my first car when I was 16. It was gutless (even in the 80's) but a heck of a lot of fun on the twisties. Never give up on the 308! Best wishes.

    The Ferrari was my first non daily driver, but only the third car I ever owned (and the first with a manual transmission).
