    I think the SAFETY bits are not only the same but better... it's all the electronic
    FUN bits that in my experience suck eggs...

    (2003 E500 bought new - massive electronics issues)

    My current 2008 E350 has ZERO issues, and I am confident that the safety stuff
    is TOTALLY there (including the 'On Star' thing - Merc has a name for it I forget...
    that works EXTREMELY well)

    Great commercial, BTW....

    As a 15 year MB mechanic, I'm inclined to say that while the new models may have modern safety features such as Sensatronic brakes, an OnStar-esque emergency response system and five zillion airbags, you'll need them all if you wreck a modern Mercedes. Gimme a W126 any day!
