MY THANKS TO GARY FOR TAPING AND SENDING ME THE san marino GP!!!

having watched it tonight, what a race!

Imperial should be quite proud of his man Sato's pass on Webber!!!!!

and what a job by alonso to hold schu off and, as i finally realised with 4 laps to go, to slow him purposely to avoid reaching traffic. masterful. prost-like.

mcC, F and Renault should make a great season hereon.

thanks Gary - for making my day!!!!

    best watt

Your totally right, Alonso is Prost-like. i have never thought of that before now!

I think if there had been a lot more laps left, say 10 to 15, schuy would of worked his way past, but i'am sure he was wanting to get some much needed points scored, with kimi out (but looking fast) and the bridgestones looking in better (awesome) shape, i think he was happy to finish second, and not take a big chance...

What a race tho, i can't wait for spain, not only because it look's like the ferrari's are in the fight, but also because i;am going to be there!!! Wayhaaaay :)

    MS drove a fantastic race
Alonso showed he is capable of becoming the next MS.
Button proved that the new aero rules suck.

All in all I can't wait for Spain, let the battles begin.

We picked up the Italian sports section Tuttosport at the airport in Milan on Monday after the race. In an interview by Briatore, he likens the MS - Alonso duel to Senna and Prost. Headline for the article was: "mi sembrava Senna contro Prost".

    Other headlines and photos:

    "Schumi, fine di un mago"

    "Montezemolo: Vinceremo tanto"

On the front page: Schumi incanta, Alonso super

(Gary - you missed a really good race - you should have come back to Italy after test day and joined us at the races! - next time . . .)

I just watched it myself. Amazing race, great drive by MS to get to 2nd place. But a masterful drive by Alonso to keep cool while MS tried on several occasions to overtake him and to keep the Red Bull a safe distance. Alonso reminds me a lot of MS, not does he only have the talent to drive and F1 car fast, but he’s also smart about it. If he isn’t a World Champion this year, he will be in the near future.
