Can you change timing belts on a 3.2 mondi without removing the engine?
Not knowing your situation, but if the hoses, etc. are original, consider pulling the engine, and do the hoses with the belts, etc. The Mondial engines are the easiest to pull (before the 348's). They come out the bottom, on thier own cradle. There are many threads here on how to do it. Really, not bad at all.
Fred's right, it's really not that bad to pull, but it's not a job for a couple of jack stands out in the driveway. The engine and transaxle and rear suspension is quite heavy so you need a decently sturdy cradle for it. A 2-post lift is a big help too. I recently changed the belts on my 3.2 and it wasn't a difficult job. It's not a fast job however - at least not for your average DIY guy - too me two and a half days to replace the belts and WP and bearings, but I did a fair bit of cleaning and tidying up too along the way. Do it slowly and carefully and you'll have no problem.
