    Hey there,

Which models run on chains and which on belts.

Would you say the chain versions are more "bulletproof" and less expensive to maintain?

    Thanks.

Every classic runs belts, save the 365/400/412 series.

Most belts require engine out, making them more expensive.

All like to leak, but are pretty sturdy otherwise.

Thanks for the quick list Omar.

Just what I needed to know. Belts it is, with engines out then.

Aren't 206/246 also chain drive for the cams?

Yes they are. None of the Ferrari V8 cars are chain driven(yet). The last chain driven 12 cylinder was the 412 I beleive. Correct me if I'm wrong please.

I think the Enzo is chain driven ... but that might be the start of the reversal to chains.

    Pete's not totally sure
