I am going to buy a Bend Pack Lift and I am trying to decide between the standard and the narrow version. THe standard is 106" the columns and the narrow is 89 between the columns. I have space but don't want to waste it. I will be parking an 360 and M3 on it. Just curious if anyone could share any experience on how difficult it is to fit it in the narrow version.

    Thanks

I have a direct lift 4 post unit it is 93-94" between the columns, I had no problem parking my 360, plenty of room, but with the F430 mirrors are getting pretty close to the columns.

Come on even Superman can do that.

If you wait too long the edit window will time out and then you can't do anything.

Glad to see you now have only one lift.

I spoke with the person from American Lifts. They are one of the very few who makes a superior product here in the US! However, the freight from Oklahoma is about $1,200.00. That's insane.

I may do it, because it's good for the economy. We all need that.

Anyone know a good freight company that could be less than $1,200.00?

I just bought Bendpak lift and i am going to receive it on Monday. I bought it in Germany and i chosed version HD-9-B which is 2711 mmn (close to 106") between columns. I will be parking Murcie so the narower version would not fit. The 89" between columns seems to me not enough. You never know what will be you future car... If you have space get the standard version.

I have a revolution (rotary) lift and ought the wider (and taller) one. It is about 10 or 12 inches wider, and the platforms go up a foot or so taller. This allows me to park an SUV under it. Even if space is at a premium, if the wider / taller lift will fit, spring for the larger one as you may not always be driving the same car you have now, but it is likely you will have the lift for a long time. This allows you to get a wider car, or park a taller car underneath, later on.

I went with the BendPak standard (wider) width. My garages are split. I installed the lift in a single car garage. Had I chosen the narrow version, I would have had to sqeeze between the post and the edge of the garage doorway when walking in through the garage door.

I would agree with Patentman, go with the wider/taller version if you can fit it.

If you have space buy the wide version I have the narrow and I had to do some mods after changing wheels to my 430...
