    Hey everyone,

There's a part in my engine that appears slightly bent and I wanted to get your opinion on it. First, does anybody know what it is? I searched for a 355 engine diagram online but couldn't find one. My hunch is an upper motor mount?

Second, is this piece critical enough that I should have it replaced or will it be ok as is?

-The 1st picture shows the location in the engine bay (right side)
-The 2nd and 3rd are side and directly above shots of the part that's bent. You will see that it's leaning towards the rear of the car.
-The last shot is an identical part located symmetrically on the left side but it is not bent.

    LOL!

That's a spring-loaded hanger for the exhaust system. They frequently look like that, nothing to worry about.

Great, thank you. New to Ferrari, so every time I see something that appears to be even a little off I begin to worry!

It's been a while, but I remember part of the mounting mechanism being slotted. So, I'll bet you can loosen some of the bolts that mount the exhaust and move things around a bit to straighten this out. (not the bolt on top of the spring. I'd leave that one alone).

    @ the OP ---

I admire your fastidiousness and observational prowess........but........how do I put this delicately......don't quit your day job :):):) j/k

Go out and drive and enjoy your car ---- and don't worry so much.....They are NOT as fragile as some folks think ;) !

BTW, from the looks of the engine bay, yours looks to be a very clean 355 :) !
