everything i've been hearing about them has been pretty good, what year are you looking at? i know there are quite a few on the market right now and you can pick up a used one for a little more then half market cost for a new one. from what i understand, it's highly recommended to keep the battery plugged in through the trickle charger in order to keep it up while not in use. that's about all i've heard about it, the other main complaint i've heard is that people claim the gauges are audiesque. lol about the vik comment
Semi-daydreaming currently. They are approaching M6 price for a low mileage example, so they are approaching what I would be willing to spend on a daily driver... I love the Speed edition, but unlikely to buy new... not in my DNA to eat that much depreciation. Definitely a mulliner spec though...
cool, i like the mulliner spec steering wheel, the wood and leather just match perfectly when they do it, as well as the gearshift, other then that, pretty much everything on the mulliner spec gt is pretty much cosmetic, iirc.
Mulliner spec is all cosmetic, but I love the look, and worth every penny. With the Speed edition, the mulliner spec is standard... would love the 600HP and 550lb-ft...
I agree about the mulliner stuff... worth every penny. As fars as batteries go, I have not had any trouble with a battery in a bentley as long as it gets driven.
yup, same as i've heard. it goes with pretty much any luxury/exotic car, so long as it's driven, the battery will remain charged, but should it not be driven during the winter, then yeah, definitely keep it plugged in. better than what can be said for aston martins, last time i was in a dealership they mentioned to me that all db9's had to be kept plugged in regardless, i don't know if that was the salesman just not knowing, or truth.
Get perfect condition 2004/5 low mileage (15K miles) example from bentley dealers about 135K. Non- bentley dealers and higher mileage cars with asking prices in the 120K range. I suspect you could pick up a private owner car around 110K (guess)
I have actually been looking at them for the last few weeks. 2004 with 20-30k miles are available below $100k. Check Ebay. Bargain in my mind.
do you guys think that within 10 or so years they'll bottom out and hit the price range of mid 80's rollers and bentley's? you can even find an early 90's turbo r in the low 30k range, or, with the newer technology, are they going to stay above the 50, 60, or even 70k range?
I think it may hold its value better than the old rolls nad bentlys, which were total piece of junk cars...i good friend of mine owned a bently -rolls dealership up until earily 90s and he still goes into convulsions when he sees a bently or rolls...they were that bad...horrible reliablity and more expensive to maintain than a ferrari.........the new ones are real cars that can be driven , thanks to bmw and vw........
