    I am looking for a nice 4 door sedan. I gave 17 year old son my 06 S 500 Benz Amg packaged car as his first vehicle because I wanted him to be safe if and when he ever gets in an accident. The car has all the Amg trim and styling but does not have the Amg motor so I am not too worried. My fun car is an F430 spider and my Daily driver is an F150. My wife has the big Mb SUV GL something.

    I am strongly looking at 8 to 10 year old Bentley Arnage vehicle as a weekend car on occasion when I want to go somewhere with the family without driving the wife's vehicle. I found a few in the 55 to 60 k range with 13,000 to 22,000 miles. What are your thoughts and or experiences with this type of car? Pros and Cons give it to me straight I can handle it

    '05 Arnage had a lot of improvements over '04,suspension,transmission and new front that stayed through the end of production in '09.
    If I were on the market though, I would try to stretch to '07 as that one had the most dramatic changes,new, faster tranny that allowed manual gear changes,engine upgrade to 500hp(T model) and multiple other improvements.
    Basically,'07 is the same as the last one,'09 model.
    Bulletproof car,very reliable ,with very peculiar ride and handling (at first experience) that feels like driving a truck (almost) but grows on you the more you drive it,especially on long distance trips.
    You really have to spend some time with one,to truly appreciate that car.

    My options:

    1998 Bentley T
    2008 Bentley T
    2012 Bentley Continentail FS Speed

    Or 1998 Rolls

    Never owned one - my wife likes the Speed.

    Did you ever end up making a move on car? Would love to hear what you found/decided.

    I love the traditional styling of the Bentley Arnage . . . and I feel like a 2009 car is my last opportunity to own the classic ultra luxury vehicle with modern appointments.

    Are these cars pretty reliable? I noticed most 2008 cars for sale have "Concours Edition" or something similar embroidered on the seats and the 2009 is badged "Final Edition" in various places with pretty stunning wheels. Are the differences in those years just those minor cosmetic badging marks?

    Are there many common failure points to watch for?
