They look fantastic and have a terrific presence, but I'd be surprised if they drive as good as your Merc....but please..find out for us

 

there wonderful to drive,I've got a soft spot for the 4.4l cars turbo cars.

there were a number of E-types raced in australia.
Both Bob Janes car are long gone.
I know of one other ex racing E that is still around,poor condition the owner will not sell it.

 

there is a fab FHC in melbourne a 4.2l FHC that is the last factory race car built by jaguar sold new in Australia last owner last 35 years,its wonderful was for sale about 2 years ago for about 250k

 

you wouldn't have a clue. word on the street is you have to google everything.

 

Typically they've done their 75% depreciation by now and make great buying.. superb interior. (maintenance?)

I have big soft spot for mid 90's Continental R, (not many for sale typically) land yacht with 2 doors.. what's not to like!

 

i bought a mid 90s Conti,Green with magnolia trim,partner hated it had to cancell purchase.

Would be about the only car I'd ever consider getting BRG with tan interior for example.

Also about the only one I could be satisfied just floating along in instead of something a tad, err, quicker.

Victory by Design is a great series, its on on most thursday evenings. Just before the Jag episode was a half an hour special on a Bonhams Ferrari Auction from a few years ago. A yellow Daytona spider sold for $1.3million US.

And the presenter did make the point several times over that for the period, the E-Type was rubbish as a race car, especially after the success of the D-Types.

There is a lot of good car stuff on the two Fox TV Discovery Turbo channels.

 

Only because the jaguar factory had little interest,IMO it should have been = to the GTO.Same weight/hp more torque,good size rims and IRS rear.
If Mark or one of his mates want an E-type this is the car.

comes from a very wealthy conservative family ie buy a new Benz every 10 years and put your money into property.

 

what on your residental home?
Land tax,depends when the property was bought.
have a look at the top 200 wealthist people in Australia,there wealth came from property in many cases.

 

I don't know about that I've got sizable commercial property in Hawthorn has the ability to go up 5 levals and the land tax is F/A compared to its income incresed annual value.

the best investment I ever made was my home 15 years ago.
rates and maintance are high but the capital gain has been awesome.
I compare its value then and now to the value of a new Bentley.
When I bought it it was worth approx 2 new cars now about 6.

 

Look at the top 200 wealthiest people in the world and they have made their fortune from property.

Sux to hear.

Best investments I have EVER made also are my investment properties.

Oh, and this house too.
