So who else likes the new Bentley Brooklands? I think it looks pretty good. Only thing I dont like is the price and the few Audi bits that can be found inside. Dont get me wrong I love Audi but I dont want their stuff in(dont care about the motor or other stuff im mainly talking about the switches and stuff that are Audish) a 350K car that does not wear an Audi badge.

Love it (currently my desktop wallpaper)...I have never seen one in person but which parts are Audish? I can tell that the climate controls on the Arnages that I have been in are from BMW... I looked at some interior shots and I am not sure I seem them...they are pretty easy to spot on my Gallardo...the climate control...stereo...gauges...and steering wheel. I have wanted a real Bentley for ever, first I was into the Arnage, but now I am considering making the plunge with the Azure.

mostly the dash area and the shift knob. Its not exactly Audi but it has an Audi feel. Even my old A4 has the diagnostic screen of similar size between the tach and speedo and I believe the A8s have it in the same spot as well. Just feel the could do something more with the buttons and everything on a 350K car. Everything looks perfect but then they have these little plastic buttons. The Bentleys of yester year had extremely beutiful gauges and switches.

I absolutely love it. I'm looking for one in 1:18th scale as we speak.

Okay I see it now...they never used to have that manual shift function with the gear leaver....not sure about the diagnostic screen though because the Arnages I have driven have that little window but it definatley is not from Audi, see the picture attached below...that said on the Brooklands the screen looks wider so it maybe Audi's.

I like them, that and the Azure are the only 2 Bentleys that I really like.

The Bentley Arnage/Azure/Brooklands platform still seems to look real dated (sorta like the Dinosaur'eque continuation of the Ford Crown Victoria / Mercury Grand Marquis / Lincoln Towncar). I know there have been a few face-lifts and power-train revisions in the past few years (under BMW & VW ownership).

With that said, I'd still want to be "Thomas Crown" ala' Pierce Brosnan in one... :D

I have to give two thumps up to the new Brooklands. Overall, Love it. I've always felt the Arnage/Azure/Brooklands series to be for the true Bentley enthusiasts and the Continental line (Flying Spur/GTC/ GT coupe) to be for those who just have money enough to know there are makes higher than Mercedes but don't fully appreciate the craftsmanship of the more "old-school" line. Just my .02

That screen predates any Bentley/VW/Audi relationship. Was first found on the '90 and up Turbo R...

    Cheers,
